The CIA As Organized Crime part 2Amazingly, it does show up here, replete with Chapter segments on:
https://youtu.be/IYvvEn_N1sEThe continuation of a two-day interview with author, Doug Valentine. More detailed, suppressed facts about the connection to Homeland Security, the Patriot Act, the NDAA, the militarization of local law enforcement, the role of Hollywood, the role of Nazis in the CIA, Ukraine and Hunter Biden, color revolutions, the Arms and Drug business, and the "compatible Left."
This is Part 2 of the explosive expose of the CIA that Doug Valentine describes as a criminal syndicate serving the American capitalist class.
It is shocking and terrifying because it operates outside the laws of the United States, with the approval of the U.S. Congress, the President, and the Judicial Branch.
A common theme is the CIA's ability to deceive and propagandize the American public through its impenetrable, government-sanctioned shield of official secrecy and plausible deniability.

0:03 [Music] 0:29 I'm Doug Valentine and I'm the author of a book titled the CIA as organized crime 0:36 how illegal operations corrupt America and the world the Phoenix program 0:43 basically coordinated about 25 programs that were already up and operational in 0:50 South Vietnam and they did this through a series of what we're called 0:58 intelligence operation coordinating centers that were established in every 1:05 district in South Vietnam there were like 250 districts in every province 1:10 there were about forty four provinces at the core level there were four or five 1:16 cores and and of course there was a Phoenix Directorate in Saigon that that 1:22 oversaw the whole operation so Phoenix in a lot of way Phoenix has sort of been 1:28 misunderstood in in popular culture as an assassination program but the the 1:36 parts of it that were involved in assassinating people were already existence were already in existence by 1:42 the time the Phoenix program was formed so to properly understand Phoenix you 1:47 have to understand it as a as an attempt to bureaucratize and to streamline 1:56 intelligence collection and operations that are generated from the collection of that that operation after 9/11 this 2:06 same system the same coordinating system exactly what Phoenix was doing and in 2:11 South Vietnam was applied here in the United States through the Department of Homeland Security within a month of 9/11 2:20 the Bush administration administration created what was called the office of 2:25 homeland security which within a year through Congress and legislation 2:34 congressional legislation resulted in the Department of Homeland Security but 2:40 when the original office was the man who was chosen as the chief of 2:46 staff was a guy named Bruce Lawler Bruce Lawler is an interesting person who I had interviewed for my book the Phoenix 2:53 program Bruce Lawler had been a CIA officer in South Vietnam during the war and he had 3:00 worked closely with the Phoenix program he understood the Phoenix program and 3:06 one of the things that you'll find about the the Department of Homeland Security in the whole and the entire homeland 3:13 security apparatus in the United States is that when it was formed when it was created it was not only modeled on the 3:20 Phoenix program as a a bureaucracy that 3:25 coordinated all it coordinated programs and agencies that were already in 3:32 existence but it was actually staffed by people at the highest level people like 3:37 Bruce Lawler who had been in the CIA and was now in the military in 2001 but 3:45 these people who had been veterans in the Phoenix or program in in South 3:51 Vietnam and knew how the bureaucracy worked were the people who actually put 3:56 this system in place so it's not just the same bureaucracy the same bureaucratic format it's the same people 4:03 who had been involved with it in South Vietnam we're now running it in the United States people not just like 4:09 Lawler who after he was in the CIA became involved in military civic 4:17 affairs which is sort of the which is the branch of the military that it's 4:24 involved with civilian organizations including the police but also they work 4:33 with businesses and and what's known nowadays is the critical infrastructure 4:38 those parts of the civilian industry that work with the arms but the arms 4:44 industry that work with law enforcement and all these all these various parts of 4:51 American society that have been militarized and worked with the military here in the United States 4:58 including law enforcement which have been which has been militarized they 5:03 were all coordinated under the Department of Homeland Security and it 5:08 resembles Phoenix program to the point that just as Phoenix relied on intelligence operations and coordinating 5:15 centers the Department of Homeland Security relies on what are called fusion centers and as a fusion that 5:22 Center that's set up in every state in the United States just like there was a 5:29 Phoenix intelligence and operations coordinating center in every province in Vietnam there's now a department of 5:37 homeland security fusion center in every state in the United States and it functions exactly like these Phoenix 5:44 operate intelligence and operations coordinating centers function in South Vietnam to the point that they even 5:52 treat American citizens and and and and 5:58 consider American citizens in this age of terrorism to be just a suspect as the 6:05 South Vietnamese government and its CIA allies considered every citizen in South 6:11 Vietnam to be a potential terrorist somebody who is potentially supporting 6:16 the insurgency well that's exactly how the Department of Homeland Security treats Americans nowadays and you can 6:22 see this in a thousand different examples that I give him my book I begin 6:29 my book the CIA is organized crime with a quote from a guy named Johan galtung 6:34 and he said amateurs use violence to 6:42 gain control over people professionals use systems and just as it was in South 6:48 Vietnam so it is in the United States the Phoenix program was supported by and 6:55 enabled by legislation in the by decrees that were issued by the South Vietnamese 7:01 government and by legislation that was enacted by the South Vietnamese 7:06 legislature it was legal it was program and without these legal 7:12 authorizations that never could have been applied well the same thing is true in the United States the Department of 7:18 Homeland Security was enabled by legislation federal legislation that 7:24 begins with and is rooted in the Patriot Act and also the National Defense 7:30 Authorization Act I think is what it's called and these these are part of the United 7:41 States judicial system and they they are there they give government agencies a 7:46 mandate and tell them what they can do and what they can't do and after 9/11 7:53 the fear of terrorism was so great that the United States Congress decided that 8:01 it was that the security of the country was more important than the civil rights of the citizens and a lot of people have 8:08 questioned whether or not 9/11 was actually a false flag because it serves 8:15 the interests of the capitalist elite and they appear and the arms industry and the CIA and and all the security 8:22 services in the United States and to increase their power and to reduce the 8:29 civil rights of Americans but all this happened legally it happened through legislation and votes and and it's very 8:37 much appears that our elected representatives were really not representing our interests our interests 8:44 as citizens because quite frankly you're more likely to die from a bee sting than a terrorist act but these really 8:52 draconian measures have been put in place like the Department of Homeland Security the Patriot Act the National 8:58 Defense Authorization Act which actually gives the government and its police 9:03 agencies the FBI and the Justice Department the right to detain you without charge and and this is what this 9:11 was the legal basis for the Phoenix program in South Vietnam that anybody 9:17 could be really arrested and detained without charge merely on the basis of 9:22 Bishan and now these that legal basis for the Phoenix program that an 9:28 Intelligence Agency or a police Special Branch agency had only to suspect you of having ties to terrorism could take away 9:37 all your civil rights and it could put you in a detention camp and hold you without charge for up to two years 9:43 simply on the word of an anonymous informant nobody ever thought that such 9:49 a thing would happen in the United States but legislation that has been enacted by your elected representatives 9:56 has made these things possible and we're elected representatives have not been the ones to put these systems in place 10:04 these legal systems in place which is actually extra legal judicial systems 10:12 that that take away your rights legally where these things haven't happened by 10:18 Congress in their hack they happen by executive orders an executive decrees which is exactly what happened in in 10:24 South Vietnam and these executive decrees are not written by a president 10:31 or his staff they're written by the security services they're written by the CIA and then passed off as being written 10:38 by the executive branch because it's only the CIA through its vast experience 10:43 for decades working in foreign governments that knows how to create these kind of you know executive decrees 10:51 which they usually have issued by tyrants and dictators in and used to you 10:57 know take away the rights of citizens in foreign countries well now they're doing the same thing here and it's been 11:03 happening incrementally and it doesn't ever reverse it doesn't ever subside or 11:08 abate every year the reason that the powers of the police and security 11:14 agencies grow greater they become more militarized their relationships with the 11:19 military increase and and the people in this in our society who benefit from 11:25 this the arms people the arms manufacturers the the prison industry they're all happy with this because they 11:33 make the money off it and and power me moil gets concentrated in those sections of 11:39 the society and and people through the massive psychological warfare that's 11:45 waged against us become more submissive and more likely to become informants and 11:51 and parts of this really repressive police state that's being formed as a 11:56 guy who was an English major who studying English literature and from the 12:04 time I was 17 and started going to college reading Greek and Roman 12:10 literature in the Bible the great works of literature that that influenced our 12:17 culture in our society I'm acutely aware that it's the stories that we are told 12:24 and the stories that we believe that shape our reality the same thing can be 12:31 applied to what we think of ourselves as Americans and what it means to be an American 12:38 we're constantly told by the powers that be by our government by the businesses 12:44 that profit from our belief and the stories that we believe about ourselves 12:52 the defense industry again the Hollywood and the media they're all proponents of 12:59 the same story that somehow Americans are freer than everybody else as I just 13:05 explained in this in a previous song section about how our civil liberties 13:12 are being used are being reduced under the threat of terrorism which really 13:18 doesn't exist we're told that we're Americans are 13:24 victimized we're victims so this is something that Trump is very famous for that Americans 13:29 are being abused by other countries and after decades and hundreds of years of 13:35 of the kind of propaganda that we've been told starting with things like the Declaration which say that all men are 13:42 free when in fact huge sections of our 13:48 society including the black population and other minorities are anything but free and have never been anything but 13:54 free we begin we believe these stories and and and the stories are part of us 14:00 their integrate part of us and military 14:07 psychological warfare operations the CIA psychological warfare operations are all 14:14 basically dependent on these stories 14:20 about us that we believe about ourselves and they play on them and it's not until 14:26 we actually can free ourselves from the assumptions that we we make about 14:32 ourselves and who we are and what we are based on these ancient stories in these 14:37 old myths that we can actually free ourselves as individuals to look 14:44 critically at our own country but first we have to we have to stop believing the 14:49 stories that we tell ourselves about ourselves as being exceptional or being the best or being the most free we have 14:57 to we can't have a blind obedience and love in our country or whatever that 15:02 means and still actually be free and yet we delude ourselves we self we believe 15:10 these stories because they're so nice and it's all we ever hear but until we start questioning everything and every 15:17 facet about what we assume to be true including our belief in in the media and 15:24 the stories that the media tell us and not just CNN and the New York Times but 15:30 if you're a person who believes you're a leftist to start questioning the stories 15:35 that the nation tells you or the Mother Jones tells you or anybody tells you you 15:40 have to really start looking critically at everything you're told and and most 15:47 of all at yourself and what you believe and until that happens the systems are never going to change 15:53 starting in World War two the Hollywood 15:59 film industry formed very close relationships with the military and 16:07 especially the military in World War two in the for the cause of national defense 16:14 the United States was fighting terrible evil the the fascists in Germany and the 16:23 freedom of the world was thought to be at stake and so there was a need to 16:29 rally support for the military and its war and that was thought to be you know 16:38 what we what were told to be existential that our our survival as a nation 16:44 depended on rallying the support of the civilian population for the military and 16:51 its battle against the forces of evil well I never stopped and after World War 16:59 two when the military found itself having bases all around the world it 17:04 became necessary to justify that to justify the presence of the United 17:10 States all around the world and it's projecting its military power all around the world and Hollywood having formed 17:18 these bonds with the military and actually finding that it was very profitable to sell these stories about 17:26 the heroic good American and and fighting evil around the world that it 17:32 was actually a good way to make money and that it was very easy to convince the Americans civilian society that they 17:40 were heroes and that they were the good guys and that everything that they did was justifiable because they were still 17:46 fighting evil and it was very easy for Hollywood and it's its benefactors in 17:53 the military and then certainly later the CIA to convince people that that now 17:58 communism was the new Bugaboo and had an and was threatening our very existence 18:05 communists were always you know portrayed as godless and and threatening 18:11 threatening the the sanctity of the church and and of course the Catholic 18:18 Church and all the Christian churches also got behind the effort to the this 18:26 this propaganda effort to demonize communism and to associate our very 18:33 basic freedoms with capitalism you know the McCarthy hearings of course we're 18:40 the culmination of all this at the same time behind the scenes the one-percent 18:49 our rulers the people who are capitalized you know if this found that it was very good way to make money and 18:55 that that propagandizing the American people through these through the movies 19:02 that portrayed the military and the secret services as heroes who were fighting for truth justice and the 19:08 American Way was actually a great way to make money and and and so the media the 19:15 security services that military formed a very incestuous relationship and and 19:21 that continues to this day and it depends on on these these facets 19:26 of our society convincing us that we are exceptional that we are the best that 19:32 we're in a life-and-death struggle with the rest of the world and that the only way we can win that struggle is to be 19:37 more ruthless than the rest of the world and that anything we do is justifiable 19:43 and after decades of Hollywood telenosis and and TV telling us this great 19:52 segments of the society believe it and they don't question anything about it and and even if they do question it 19:59 temporarily there very frequently 20:04 willing to just overlook it because it has afforded us a very nice lifestyle 20:10 and Americans do benefit greatly from imperialism and 20:18 from having military bases all around the world and the subversion and sabotage of foreign governments and the 20:27 advancement of a mayor of businesses all around the world a lot of Americans have 20:33 have benefited greatly from this and the rest of the population a huge swath of 20:39 it is completely enthralled by the story 20:44 that it's told and no matter how much the evidence suggests otherwise just kids shake itself from the belief in 20:51 that story and that they themselves are are as good and as important as they're 21:00 told they are in the movies after World War two communism became the Bugaboo and the 21:07 Soviet Union became the enemy and even though and one of the things the CIA did 21:14 right after World War 2 was hire a lot of Nazis guys who's been who'd been 21:20 Nazis were now recycled and brought into the CIA the rockets Nazi rocket 21:28 scientist von Braun went to work for the United States developing 21:33 intercontinental ballistic missiles so the past the Nazi past was forgiven and 21:39 Nazis went to work for the United States including a guy named Reinhard Gillan who had been the Nazi intelligence 21:46 military intelligence officer in charge of operations against the Soviets in 21:52 Eastern Europe and this guy gallon became the head of the the CIA's main 21:59 intelligence operator into East Berlin and and areas like the 22:06 Ukraine where he had where the dot seas had intelligence agents during World War 22:11 two and this guy Reinhard Gillan on behalf of his new CIA masters just 22:17 activated all the agent nets that he had during World War two the same thing was going on in Ukraine 22:23 although the Ukraine had very much large swathes of its 22:28 population were fascists and were actively involved against the war against the Soviets and we're enemies of 22:39 the United States in World War two after World War two they became assets of the 22:44 CIA so the CIA has been developing fascists assets in the Ukraine for 70 22:51 years and every year since 1948 when the 22:57 CIA was went into operation and has had a station in the Ukraine with a CIA 23:03 officer who's running operations and those operations have all been directed 23:09 against first the Soviet Union and after the collapse of the Soviet Union against 23:14 Russia there's a lot of momentum that has built up over 75 years vast agent 23:21 nets have been put in place sleeper agents have been in place for decades and they're all working against Russia 23:28 which is why nowadays it's so hard for the mainstream media and the government 23:34 to shift and and and even consider for a 23:39 moment having good relations with with Russia NATO the whole its whole mandated 23:45 its holy reason for his existence has been to threaten and rollback Russia and 23:53 eventually sabotage and subversion subverted and put it out of business and Ukraine the CIA's operations in the 24:02 Ukraine are the cutting edge Vanguard of this effort so if you look at recent 24:08 events in Ukraine you have to see them in that context how for decades the CIA 24:14 has been trying to recruit Ukrainian politicians Ukrainian businessmen who 24:21 are sympathetic and compatible with Western American ideas and values and and interests of being of fighting 24:28 against the Russians and recruiting them and putting them in place and setting 24:34 them up with bank accounts giving them paramilitary training everything the CIA does across the board 24:40 the Ukraine has been the vanguard of this operation against Russia the 24:46 details are in my book the CIA's organized crime how this works 24:51 at the very at the agent level how it how the CIA would go around and work with after the coup that throughout a 25:00 pro-russian government and installed a pro-american anti Russian government how the CIA already had had security 25:08 services and military people in place who were able to create private militias that would then work against individuals 25:16 in the Ukraine who were pro-russian how they you know in machining it like South 25:23 Vietnam or any other country that the United States occupies and that is the 25:28 situation in the Ukraine the United States occupies Ukraine its government 25:34 is it the an occupation government that's supported and funded and directed by the United States in to the and the 25:43 businessmen and the military people and the politicians that support the Americans benefit and those who don't 25:49 are put on hit lists and they're targeted and and that's basically the history and the summary of what's going 25:56 on in the Ukraine and that the CIA through its agent operations which have been in place for 70 years is at the 26:02 vanguard of that of that operation oh 26:19 absolutely but also to steal Ukraine's to take although the the natural 26:27 resources that are available there the profits that that are that can be had I 26:32 mean it's it's capitalism it's you know nationalism American nationalists who 26:38 businessmen I mean as soon as the the CIA arranged that coup and installed a 26:44 pro-american government Joe Biden's son became the head of one of the biggest 26:49 some oil companies I think it was in the Ukraine you know I mean American businessmen just swooped down like 26:55 vultures to take over all the you know any business that could the that like 27:01 Mafia dons and mafia you know gangsters that they could steal everything from 27:07 and and that's exactly what they're doing and especially in eastern Ukraine 27:12 where a lot of the natural resource industries are based that's why it says 27:17 so contentious there the the CIA through its assets in private industry is is 27:25 trying to bring all those people all those people who are considered compatible into the American fold you 27:31 don't see it and it's dirty level the 27:36 level of blackmailing people delete the level of extorting people the level of the CIA CIA using its underworld 27:45 contacts to squeeze these people and to force them out of business and and to 27:50 make life miserable for them so that they give up their their associations with Russians and Russian businessmen 27:57 but that's what's going on at the very basic level I mean militias are being formed to terrorize anybody who's 28:04 supporting Russia and you know like and Don bass in places like that so the 28:11 details again which you would have to spend years studying to understand you 28:17 know I'll suggest you just read the books to see how the the CIA has 28:23 relationships with the security services in Ukraine and as soon as the coup was 28:28 launched it took over control of those security services and it started drawing of the hit lists that of targeting 28:36 people that it could go after and the reason it's targeting the people that target targets most highly are the 28:42 people that are sitting on natural resources that American businessmen want 28:48 it's not going after you know plumbers and carpenters it's going after major businessmen and that's what the CIA does 28:55 it's it paves the way for American business interests by using illegal 29:00 methods and by using illegal methods to install politicians in the Ukraine that will 29:06 follow the American line things that everything that you don't know about 29:12 that is going on and that you're not told about by the media one of the 29:17 things that makes America truly exceptional is is that it has the 29:24 largest military in the world it has 800 military bases around the world its 29:30 military as as big as all the other 29:36 militaries in the world combined that's a lot of power that assures the United 29:42 States have a lot of influence all around the world anybody starts acting up anywhere in the world the United 29:48 States military is there with its Air Force and its Navy and the Marines are 29:55 ready to swarm over and American military advisors work with the military in almost every country in the world one 30:03 of the things that these American military bases and American military advisers who are operating all around 30:09 the world do is provide the CIA with cover as always telling you earlier the 30:15 CIA does not work in foreign countries by advertising itself it works on the 30:21 cover and works on the cover of American Special Forces military intelligence the 30:27 State Department and in private businesses the Americans the the US CIA 30:33 just like is comparable to the American military the CIA is as big as all the 30:41 other intelligence services of the world combined there's an a CIA station in every country in the world it 30:48 understands in the CIA operates everywhere all around the world that all 30:53 that information from all these CI stations goes back to Langley headquarters where it is analyzed by a 31:02 parent you know supposedly benign analysts who are are no more benign than 31:08 a mafia bookkeeper who says I never killed anybody you know I just I just gave you the 31:15 to the people who who owed your money you know well yeah sure 31:22 you know don't believe that so in these countries again just like in the Ukraine 31:28 the whole idea is to secretly diminish 31:40 the power of any political and social factions that are working against 31:47 American interest business interests political interests military and interests and that's the job of the CIA 31:53 and it's CIA station operating in every country has that as its mandate it helps 32:00 if it's in relations with the military and secret services in that country it provides them with the most modern 32:07 technology it helps them create agent nets it gives it passes money to politicians 32:13 secretly black-bag money to those politicians in those countries that enables them to get elected so that they 32:20 will promote American policies in countries like Venezuela it operates not 32:27 through the government not in relation in liaison relationships with the 32:32 Venezuelan secret services and the Venezuelan military but it recruits 32:39 secretly army officers in the event in 32:44 the Venezuelan military that it then it then provides with bank accounts and money and operates secret with the 32:50 secret secretly with them and helps them to subvert the the military services in 32:57 Venezuela it works with security officers in Venezuela secretly to help them subvert 33:02 the Venezuelan security services it works with businessmen and media people 33:08 there it'll create fund radio stations so that they can promote you know 33:15 broadcast propaganda against the Venezuelan government and it works with media people there and through American 33:23 media people who serve as cutouts in order to propagandize within Venezuela or Syria or any country where that is 33:30 that is actively working against whose government is actively working against 33:35 merican and just it subverts them in a thousand different ways through a CIA and I should add that the military is 33:43 doing the same thing through its agent Nets the Navy has its own is working to 33:49 subvert the Venezuelan Navy so it's not just the CIA but the CIA coordinates all 33:55 American efforts and it does through it does so it largely in these countries 34:00 through private businessmen and its infiltration of civic institutions where 34:08 it organizes what it calls compatible political and social movements to work 34:14 against those governments you see it in the same thing happening wherever there is a color revolution that's the CIA 34:22 creating funding directing managing 34:29 political and social operations against governments that are antithetical or said to be and to get antithetical to 34:36 American interests you see it in China see it in Russia everywhere that's the 34:42 job of the CIA to coordinate all all the the clandestine operations to diminish 34:51 to sabotage and subvert these governments and their civic institutions our big problem is that we believe the 34:58 story that we tell ourselves about ourselves that we're told about ourselves it's a big cover story for 35:07 what really happens behind the scenes the myth of the American hero Arnold 35:14 Schwarzenegger any of them they're the 35:20 hero heroes that you see on TV Tom Cruise or Matt Damon or you know the the 35:27 American who's really just a good guy you know he may have to do bad things now and then but he's really a good guy 35:34 you know that's not the way it is and and it's a cover story that we're told 35:40 over and over over again just like santa claus or you know if you pray to a saint you'll get 35:47 your wishes or any-any anything that that kind of fantasy belief that makes 35:53 you feel good about yourself the fact of the matter is the United States has 35:59 stated goals and now stated goals are what you constantly hear over and over 36:06 and over again whoever is the United States represented the city you and is 36:12 always saying that you know the United States has nothing but good intentions and and everybody else is bad and and 36:19 you hear this over and over and over again behind the scenes the United 36:24 States government has unstated goals and objectives it has the things that it's 36:30 really trying to do you never hear about them you never hear the unstated objectives 36:35 which of the explaining to you are to influence elections and foreign 36:41 governments whether that'll whether that governments in France like an ally or 36:47 Germany which is an ally or England which is an ally the CIA is working in 36:52 friendly countries through the again agent nets that have been in these 36:58 countries for decades to influence now even if in friendly countries to benefit 37:05 American business interests to put you know their England so you know a 37:10 supposedly friendly government but if a Labour government is put in place you 37:15 can be sure that the CIA is doing everything it can this invert that Labour government in a friendly country 37:21 and to work with the conservative fascist elements to try and make it 37:27 possible you know for for American arms industry to have greater sales in 37:34 friendly countries so they're doing it in friendly countries as well as enemy 37:40 countries but you're never going to hear that the the CBS and CNN do not report 37:46 on CIA operations they're now telling you that well now that there's a Labour government in 37:53 frame a leftist has been erected in in Germany you can count on the CIA to start 37:59 subverting that political party but that's what they're doing and they do it everywhere and these are the unstated 38:05 objectives of the government as advanced by the CIA secretly and the entire 38:11 judicial system in the United States has been structured by the powers that be to make it illegal for anybody in the media 38:19 or any private citizen to expose these unstated policies or operations that the 38:26 the CIA is conducting people in the CIA if they were to if they were all of a 38:32 sudden to come out of their shells and start talking about what the CIA does I mean they were apart from being bumped 38:41 off or killed I mean they would immediately be gagged like John Kiriakou was in and put in prison if they tell 38:49 you about the torture and the blackmail and the extortion that that the CIA is engaged in in all these countries 38:55 friendly and enemy alike so the this we live in an alternative reality you know 39:03 people it cracks me up when people talk about alternative facts I mean you 39:09 haven't got any idea you know what you they keep trying to make the the an 39:16 alternative fact is apparently something that betrays the narrative that we're supposed to hear the only facts facts 39:27 are associated with anything that supports the cover story you're told about your government and its 39:32 benevolence alternative thocks or anything reveal the government's 39:38 unstated policy and it's basically evil intentions and and and the absolute evil 39:45 that is embodied in the one percent that rules us on their greed and their desire 39:51 to control the entire world and all its resources for their own benefit and believe me this 1% of the 1% that that 40:01 is behind all this they have no more regard for you than they do for the Syrians in a 40:07 village that they're bombing or send a nicer sentence destroyed which they are doing and and if you think for a minute 40:15 that by going out on Memorial Day and waving the flag you're somehow part of some great movement to bring freedom and 40:23 democracy in the world you are totally deluded self-deluded and 40:28 the only way that this whole thing is going to end is if people start shaking themselves out of this the delusions 40:34 that they have imposed upon themselves through you know often no for in the 40:40 world but just believing in that in the laws that they're told it's critically important to understand that the 40:46 national security establishment which has evolved since World War two is 40:51 actually part of something bigger or it answers to something else which is 40:57 the establishment and it's it functions 41:04 on behalf of the establishment and that establishment is the wealthy people who 41:15 rule our country actually the dictionary describes the establishment as a group 41:23 of wealthy powerful people who control a society or government through secret agreements you look it up and 41:30 merriam-webster that's the that's the definition okay a conspiracy of very rich wealthy people in order to control 41:41 goods and services where we buy our things how much they cost the whole 41:47 structure of society they the establishment controls the United States 41:54 the same way the CIA tries to control foreign governments it manipulates 42:00 social and political movements they the establishment has created and manages 42:05 both the Republican and Democratic parties the the heads of the Democratic 42:12 Party and the heads of the Republican Party are actually both parts of the same establishment and they have the 42:17 same goals and that's to make sure that income that's not distributed to poor 42:25 people and that poor people keep sending their money up to the people at the top whether you're Republican or Democrat 42:32 the establishment makes sure that there is no third party that there is no green party that there is no political or 42:39 social movement in this country that can challenge the the the the status the 42:45 status quo which is is that the Republicans in the repo and the Democrats are locked in a perpetual 42:51 state and and the establishment then continues to maintain its control over 42:59 all the social and political movements now the national security establishment fits within serves the interests of that 43:08 larger establishment by making by creating systems that assure that these 43:15 that the establishment maintains its prerogatives at every point oversees 43:20 it's the CIA and largely the military although since 9/11 the lines have 43:27 blurred and the military and the CIA as as the world becomes a global village are having much more influence here in 43:34 the United States as I said the the legal decrees and law legislation that 43:45 enabled Phoenix overseas are now being have been enacted in the United States and and we're losing more or more of our 43:52 civil rights and our freedoms and we're told that we're done well this is done so that we can preserve our freedom 43:58 because we're fighting terrorism which doesn't exist in which one it does exist is actually a provocation on the part of 44:04 the CIA in the US military in order to assure the establishment here at home 44:09 can have greater control over our political and social movements so the 44:15 national security establishment is is is control is composed largely of the 44:21 industries that support the CIA in the military and the police it's the 44:28 industries that control what are called the critical 44:35 infrastructure the internet nowadays which of course is a frontline for a 44:42 battle against enemy and and friendly nations who are trying to influence here 44:49 in our political and social movements here in the United States but also the 44:54 oil industry the arms industry all the industries that that assure the United 45:00 States of being exceptional and the most powerful force on the planet since the 45:09 Declaration of Independence since the formation of of the government our 45:15 leaders have been telling us stories which we believe they told us that 45:22 [Music] Thomas Jefferson told us that the the Native Americans were savages that 45:27 needed to be do I feel off the planet Earth because they were subhuman they 45:33 told us that it was okay that black people should not have voting rights and 45:38 should live and should should work as servants to the white people and we 45:43 believe that for hundreds of years and and it wasn't until the 1960s that blacks got voting rights and civil 45:50 rights I mean these stories exist and permeate the United States that that certain sections of this country are 45:57 more human and more better and more deserving and those things have never gone away so at the very basis at the 46:05 very bottom we believe stories about ourselves that are big lies and reinforce although although all the 46:15 activities that we engage in and we are thinking thinking are right but I've 46:20 actually been imposed upon us and our lives now since World War two systems 46:27 have been put in place primarily within the national security agencies and the 46:32 national security establishment that make it possible only for people who 46:39 believe these stories to get jobs in the Nationals establishment you can't get a job in the 46:46 in the national security establishment if you are a communist if you start out 46:52 in a very entry-level position you have to prove your loyalty to your sergeant 46:59 to your drill sergeant in the military you have to give up all your individuality and you have to pledge 47:06 obedience that whatever you're your commanding officer tells you to do and if you want to become a member of the 47:12 military that's the way it is you become they strip away your identity 47:18 and they they create a new identity in which you're an obedient soldier and you believe that you're doing this because 47:24 America's survival depends on it well it's the same thing in the CIA or 47:30 the FBI or the DEA you can't get into any of those organizations which are organized organized militarily unless 47:38 you pledged to obey your superior officers and do whatever they tell you 47:44 to do and militarism is considered the highest ideal it's part of the story 47:49 that we're told that we're heroes and we're fighting for truth justice and the American Way which is why we venerate 47:56 the military and the planes fly over to Superbowl and and we have fireworks on the fourth of July it's all we're told 48:03 that all the violence that we're involved in depends on average Americans being obedient good soldiers that's how 48:10 people get into the national security establishment at the basic level after that they're indoctrinated and they're 48:18 told that if they want to rise up to management level and be able to manage 48:23 other people like officers in the military they absolutely have to believe 48:29 totally the story and they have to you know be willing to go off and fight wars 48:34 conquer other countries drop bombs on on villages and subvert other countries in 48:41 order because this is this is what it takes for us to survive and and preserve freedom and if you want to become enter 48:48 into the management facets of this the officer corps you have to go through a 48:53 series of polygraph exam that that absolutely which we actually 48:59 prove initiation ceremonies you have to get security clearances you have to do 49:05 they have that you have that all get security clearances in order to be able to read the classified information which 49:12 is the unstated policies that we're following and you have to absolutely pledge to keep the secrets and if you do 49:19 you lose power and you're your cut out and you're back out on the outside and you have no way of bringing records or 49:26 proof with you because all that stays behind behind the iron this Iron Curtain of these systems that are set up by 49:34 organizational geniuses who graduate from Yale and Harvard and put these systems in place and it's the same thing 49:40 in private industry the same process occurs if you want to be a reporter for 49:46 the New York Times you have to pledge fealty to your editor and if your editor 49:51 tells you no you can't write about the CIA will you so salute just like a good 49:57 soldier and you cut out the parts that you knew about the CIA and because your editor is it answer into bigger editors 50:04 who are in we're working and have been working with the CI for the past 75 years and the same thing in Hollywood 50:11 every other business you can't go around you can't get a job in the national 50:16 security establishment just like you can't get a job at CNN if you advocate 50:22 for Palestinian rights or if you talk about negatively about Israel there's just a whole lot of things that are put 50:29 in place and that you have to follow those rules if you want to survive and move up the economic ladder and get a 50:35 good job and have power in the United States and that's just the way it is 50:40 operation gunrunner came to the 50:46 attention to the public a couple of years ago and it was discovered that the 50:52 United States was arranging the sale of guns to drug cartels in Mexico and 50:59 people wondered could this be true and why would the 51:06 ATF I think it was the Bureau of Alcohol Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms or whatever 51:12 its modern name is why would they be doing this arranging the sale of guns to you know a Mexican drug cartel I think 51:21 all that was what happened right and 51:28 it's symbolic its representative of what happens and what the CIA does around the 51:34 world in many many places they it and it has to do with many factors one factor 51:42 is is that the United States is not a source of opium or cocaine it relies on 51:48 other countries and the whole pharmaceutical and medical industry their profits depend on the United 51:55 States having control over countries that are source countries and that steady supplies of these drugs you know 52:02 come to the United States another thing else to do with America's special 52:07 relationship with Mexico which has never never been totally considered an ally of 52:14 the United States of course you know that currently Trump is on a permanent 52:19 campaign to demonize Mexicans and the Mexican government in World War two it 52:26 was it was as far back as World War one in World War two it was thought that that the Mexican government was 52:34 [Music] conspiring with our enemies with the Germans and and and with actually a 52:41 national security threat to the United States and would align with our enemies in in World War one and World War two so 52:48 the unstated policy of the United States government has constantly been to 52:55 destabilize Mexico there are a lot of economic connections with Mexico and the 53:02 United States as of this very interesting relationship where it relies for cheap labor to run in it's its own 53:10 agricultural business and and it has necessary relations with Mexico it needs 53:18 Mexican immigrants who are willing to work for very low wages in order to keep wages for Americans down so it's a 53:26 complex issue but at the base of it is the need from that of the national 53:32 security establishment on behalf of the establishment to continually destabilize 53:40 Mexico and this is done largely by providing guns and trying to manipulate 53:48 social and political movements outside of Mexico City in the northern provinces 53:54 that largely bought border the United States and through the influence of CIA officers who are operating in those 54:00 areas to keep the northern provinces that border the United States in a 54:05 constant state of upheaval and chaos working against the Mexican government 54:10 the central government and this is done largely by through CIA assets providing 54:17 guns to drug cartels and revolutionary groups that work against the central 54:23 government and in exchanged they allow these drug cartels some of whom they 54:30 actively support one against the other one of whom I can't remember the name 54:36 off the head of my the top of my head but one of the cartels which the CIA supported it's basically formed of 54:43 members of the former members of the Mexican Special Forces all of whom were trained by the CIA and the American 54:50 Special Forces and they they split off from the the Mexican army and they form 54:56 their own cartel and some of the drugs the arms that were were found to be 55:01 going to Mexico were found to be going to this cartel drug cartel that the United States secret services actually 55:09 put in business and the drugs that come to the United States are considered as 55:16 always 55:21 acceptable because the drugs are funneled to despise minorities in the 55:27 United States it's made sure that the drugs that that come in to the United States go to the black community or go 55:33 to poor people people who aren't getting health care or considered criminal 55:41 elements who are the fodder for the burgeoning prison industry in the United 55:47 States I mean I think as you know the United States has 5% of the world's 55:53 population and 25% of its prison population there are more prisoners in the United States with you know the land 56:00 of the free then like basically the rest of the world combined and most of those people are black or poor people are 56:08 people who are considered considered disposable and it's just made sure through system through systems that have 56:14 been put in place for a hundred years that the arms go into Mexico to people 56:22 that are selected by the CIA who work against them the central government in order to destabilize the central 56:28 government and keep Mexico weak and dis stabilized and that the drug said that come in to the United States go to 56:34 despise minorities who are considered just as disposable as enemies 56:43 populations in any other country and provide profits for the the burgeoning 56:49 security industries here in the United States those are the unstated policies the United States and its well managed 56:59 and operated by the CIA on behalf of the establishment that benefits from it I 57:04 gave a talk to veterans for priests in Portland Maine and the lecture was 57:10 called domme the war on terror as the greatest covert operation ever and I'd 57:16 like to start talking about that with a quote from a guy named Johan galtung 57:22 he said personal violence is for the amateur in dominance structural violence 57:30 is the tool the professional the amateur who wants to da man uses guns the professional uses social 57:39 structure this is a basis for why the 57:46 war on terror is the greatest covert operation and and it actually begins 57:53 with um one of our major systems one of our major social structures the 57:59 education system here in the United States everybody knows that the history 58:07 of the United States is really quite skewed the way which taught to us where you know I mean from the very beginning 58:12 we're taught that Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence in America was a become of freedom and 58:18 democracy and nobody really focuses on the fact that Jefferson was a slave 58:24 owner who went around you know like other slave owners raping his slaves 58:29 there were certain you know we're taught a myth about who we are and it permeates 58:38 every part of our indoctrination which begins in in public education and we're 58:44 taught things about who we are and what we are and they're all fantasy but in 58:50 order to get good grades in order to have the prospect of getting a good job 58:56 and going in college you have to be able to regurgitate the myths that were taught in school and this whole system 59:04 of public education and the private education systems are set up by people who wish to dominate us the dominance 59:11 that the the people who rule us the wealthy 1% the capitalists you know 59:17 teach us in school that communism is bad that communists are godless that you have to believe in God just a whole 59:25 litany of things that we assumed to be true and have been driven into our heads 59:30 start with us you know in first grade in in in elementary school and what it 59:37 means to be you know a good citizen all those things would have to be you have 59:43 to go as an adult you have to go back and you have to review all of them 59:48 and find out which of it is fact and which is which is fiction because it's those beliefs that are used to dominate 59:56 us and an offshoot of the education system is the American media industry 1:00:03 Hollywood television the newspapers the magazines that we read people graduate 1:00:10 from high school and they go to the Columbia School of Journalism where they 1:00:16 are similarly indoctrinated by teachers who are reinforcing everything you know 1:00:23 all the myths that you learned about America and now but now once you go to the Columbia School of Journalism and 1:00:29 you're going to enter into they can't go to work for The New York Times or The 1:00:35 Washington Post you have to really be able to not only believe these myths but you have to propagate them you're told 1:00:42 that your journalism has to be structured in such a way that you'll propagate these myths and you can't 1:00:48 deviate from the perpetuation of these myths and it's the same thing in 1:00:54 Hollywood no good American citizen is going to want to go to a movie and see that the 1:00:59 Russians are the good guys and the Americans and the bad guys nobody's going to go on I'll go see a movie where 1:01:04 the Palestinians are the victims and that Israelis are the bad guys I mean there's a certain formula that has to be 1:01:11 asked to be followed and these beliefs that we have or been put in place by 1:01:16 people who want to dominate us and they create these systems for that purpose and the war on terror since 9/11 has 1:01:25 become the ultimate expression of the myth and the story that we're supposed to believe we are supposed to believe as 1:01:32 Americans that we are victims of terrorism although I have said many 1:01:38 times you're more likely to die of a bee sting then you are in a terrorist accident you're much more likely to die 1:01:44 and you know a food poisoning in your cancer from cigarettes those things are 1:01:50 not considered enemies you know or things that have to be that required 90 percent of our federal budget in order 1:01:56 to combat but terrorism is and in that sense this whole fascination 1:02:03 and focus on terrorism in which which basically relies on the premise the 1:02:09 assumption that Americans are victims it's the greatest covert operation that 1:02:15 has ever been imposed upon the American people and is really the myth that we 1:02:20 really need to expose as a total fabrication of basically the national 1:02:28 security agencies the military propaganda of CIA propaganda that cell 1:02:33 spread around and for newspapers and it's used to to demonize certain social 1:02:41 and political movements overseas which then they the American media the the experts of propaganda here all relate to 1:02:51 us as fact and reinforce our beliefs that that somehow the United States is a 1:02:57 victim in the only way that it can protect it so it's citizen is by dominating the world dominance is the is 1:03:05 the operative word like Johan galtung 1:03:10 said in that quote the people who want to dominate use social structures 1:03:16 education in the media are the principal social structure that they use educating 1:03:23 us to believe certain myths and then through the media which is an offshoot of our education reinforcing those 1:03:29 beliefs which have been fabricated by the military and the CIA and their 1:03:35 bosses in the regular establishment and are perpetrated on us it's for only one 1:03:40 purpose and that's to dominate us in talking about dominance and how we're we 1:03:48 are secretly dominated by the systems that have been put in place for hundreds of years here in the United States and 1:03:54 which become more and more sophisticated more and more ingrained as time go by as 1:04:00 the decades go by and as the national security establishment becomes more 1:04:06 important than the United States and controls more and more of its the information that we received and 1:04:12 and with since the war on terror has actually you know really come to 1:04:19 determine everything that we know and believe especially through the whole entire homeland security apparatus all 1:04:26 of this was predictable and people knew it was happening certain people on the outside and one of those people was a 1:04:33 Frenchman named Guy Debord who wrote a book called the society as a spectacle 1:04:38 back in 1968 and just as I began with a 1:04:43 quote by Johan galtung I'd like to end this little episode with a quote by guy 1:04:51 debord which gets to the essence of of dominance guida board said the secret 1:04:59 dominates this world and first and foremost as a secret of domination the 1:05:11 problem is is that we don't know that we're being dominated but all the secrecy that surrounds us the CIA and 1:05:19 the military and the security services is the essential element in how we are 1:05:25 dominated and if we ever really truly want to be free and live in a democratic 1:05:30 society we actually have to smash the CIA we have to expose everybody who 1:05:36 works for the CIA we have to expose how it is organized how it operates and everybody from the 1:05:43 time they're in a kindergarden has to learn and be taught that we have a CIA and that the CIA promotes and advances 1:05:51 the establishments unstated goals and objectives and every American citizen 1:05:56 from the time he's in kindergarten houses start learning that there is this 1:06:02 facet of our country and it has is promoted by the CIA and that our establishment created the CIA just so 1:06:09 that we could be dominated and if you really want to be free you have to start learning all about it and expose them 1:06:16 [Music] 1:06:44 [Music]
